Safety in Caesareans: The decision to proceed and approach to anaesthesia and surgery

Given the short 48-hour window in which it is safe to perform caesareans in small animals, the decision about when to pick up the scalpel can be a difficult one. This webinar will discuss methods of determining due date throughout the breeding process, focusing on tools available at the end of dioestrus to determine if the dam and foetuses are safely ready for surgery. Following this we will discuss surgical and anaesthetic considerations unique to this presentation and a recommended approach for both.
